Barr Enterprise Print Server

Barr Enterprise Print Server, by Barr Systems, Incorporated permits a Host Printing and Print Management solution for data centers, CRD’s, MIS departments, and IT printing departments. The BARR Enterprise Print Server enables complete control of printing and routing of print data. Data can be directed from LAN/WAN, Windows NT application, Mainframes, UNIX® hosts, and AS400 systems to a variety of destinations, including other host, network and channel-attached printers. The Barr Enterprise Print Server (BEPS) eliminates thebarriers between host and network printing.

With Barr Enterprise Print Server (BEPS), print data streams such as Xerox Metacode, LCDS, AFP, SCS, and EBCDIC can be transformed to PCL or Postscript. Once transformed, these data streams can be interpreted by our network printers. The BEPS connectivity option makes it easy to connect directly to any host environment. Its emulation of a 3211 type printer allows for receiving and managing legacy print data. In addition the Barr Enterprise Print Server system manages print jobs by automatically routing the documents to specified printers or allowing the administrator to manually determine when and where to print the documents. BEPS can also be used to monitor, allocate and track printing services.
